a. The admission to MCA programme in all the thirteen participating NITs/IIITs will be based on NIMCET-2026 rank and the choice of institute filled by the candidates online. Details of the counselling process are available on https://nimcet.admissions.nic.in.
b. Candidates declared qualified in NIMCET-2026 will be allowed to apply for counselling and fill the choices of institutes for MCA admission.
c. Candidates must apply for counselling through online application using personal credentials by paying the counselling registration fee (as per USER GUIDELINES FOR E-COUNSELLING).
d. Online application for counselling will be available from 30/06/2026 to 03/07/2026.
e. Candidates must lock their choices before 5:00 PM IST on 03/07/2026. Choices will be automatically locked after the deadline.
f. After locking, candidates cannot modify or access their choices.
g. Seat allotment will be done based on filled choices and seat availability.
h. Candidates must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (Rs. 10,000/-) after seat allotment.
i. Candidates can choose to Float (for next rounds), Freeze (confirm seat), or Withdraw.
j. For detailed information on rounds, Float/Freeze/Withdrawal options, and fee payment, refer USER GUIDELINES FOR E-COUNSELLING.
k. Candidates who have paid the Additional Partial Admission Fee must report to the allotted institute.
l. After three general rounds, candidates may opt for the Special Round (refer USER GUIDELINES FOR E-COUNSELLING).
The non-refundable Application Processing Fee for NIMCET-2026 is:
Rs. 2,500/- for OPEN / OPEN-EWS / OBC category
Rs. 1,250/- for SC / ST category and PwD candidates
Candidates must pay the applicable fee through the available online payment modes on the website.
a. Admit Cards will be available on the website: https://nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Candidates can download them between 27/05/2026 and 06/06/2026 (up to 11:30 AM).
b. Candidates must carry the Admit Card to the test centre, counselling centre, and allotted institute.
c. Admit Cards will not be sent by post.

c. The exam is conducted online. Follow all instructions at the test centre.

e. Calculators, Mobile Phones, Smart Watches, or any electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited.
